New National Rehabilitation Hospital Opens
The new National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH), Dun Laoghaire, was completed in April 2020 and is now opened for patient use.
The project is unique in that it is the first purpose designed rehabilitation facility in the country and represents a step change in the provision of complex rehabilitation services. The design was developed following intensive research in international best practice in rehabilitation, and represents the most current thinking in rehabilitation to enable the NRH to deliver services in a new and innovative environment specifically around patients’ needs.
The current project is Phase 1 of the planned development at the NRH. Planning for Phase 2 is now underway.
