The project entails the provision of new ward accommodation to meet relevant SARI standards within a ward block shell constructed in the 1980’s.The design maximises transparency and natural light within the wards at the centre of the plan and achieves comfortable ergonomic rooms in a relatively compact space. Features include the use of fully glazed doors to wards, hardwood panelling and recessed ceiling hoisting systems.
