Hanna has considerable talent and commitment in the delivery of projects of architectural quality in both the public and the private sector. She has developed a broad knowledge of the design of healthcare facilities in particular, which is evident in the high standards she achieves in the projects she leads. Hanna has exceptional skills as an architect and design team leader and applies herself to all her projects and tasks with a diligence and perseverance that delivers successful outcomes and results for her clients.
Hanna graduated from the University College Dublin in 2000, completed her professional practice at UCD in 2005, is a member of the RIAI, and is a registered Architect. Hanna has also completed a postgraduate diploma in Construction Project Management from Trinity College Dublin, which has enhanced her experience in management techniques and leadership in the construction sector.
She joined O’Connell Mahon Architects in March 2010 with extensive experience on a wide range of building types, including educational buildings, commercial retail centres, residential buildings and public infrastructure projects. Experience included the development of numerous campus and town masterplans. Since then she has made a unique contribution to major healthcare projects including the National Children’s Hospital and the Radiotherapy Treatment Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital. She is responsible for the delivery of a 69 bed Nursing Home at Maryfield Nursing Home, Chapelizoid and was the D&B lead for the delivery of the Mental Health Unit at St.Loman’s, Mullingar.
Hanna has been instrumental in the delivery of the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire, which was completed in 2021, acting as Project Architect during all stages, from initial design through to project completion.
