Declan has almost 20 years’ experience in detailed design and construction technology, across a wide range of projects. Declan has overseen substantial building projects including large scale healthcare work such as the €40 million Radiotherapy Unit at Altnagelvin Area Hospital in Derry and the €12million Pharmacy project at St. Vincent’s University Hospital: and complex technical residential remedial works at Glending Housing Estate in Wicklow. Declan drives consistency and excellence in the delivery of high standard building projects and is highly skilled in working within the design and construction team environment.

 

Attention to detail and quality in procurement are hallmarks of Declan’s work and he provides advice and leadership in the area of preparation of documents for tender construction procurement within the practice.

 

Declan graduated from Waterford Institute of in 2002 and joined O’Connell Mahon Architects in 2010 and was appointed as Associate Director in 2021.
